FORMER president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Tuesday, paid a solidarity visit to former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State capital.
Chief Obasanjo arrived IBB’s home at about 4.30 p.m. in the company of Senator Andy Uba, Chief Oyewole Fashawe and an unidentified lady.
Journalist were prevented from entering but Naijalog was able to gather that the meeting last for about 30 minutes.
Babangida just returned Germany where he was hospitalized.
Meanwhile earlier at Minna International Airport, Chief Obasanjo also met with his former deputy, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at Minna International Airport, where the two former leaders hugged each other.
Obasanjo, who arrived in an aircraft with registration number G DOUR, was about to be conveyed to IBB’s country home in a black BMW car, marked ABJ 01 RJ, when the former vice president, who was already seated, awaiting clearance for his flight, saw him and he had to stop the pilot, alighted and headed straight for the waiting car to greet Obasanjo, with the duo hugging each other.
Atiku who had earlier visited the former military president, was in the town to grace the presidential declaration of the Publisher of Leadership Newspaper and a presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Sam Nda-Isaiah
