Former President Olusegun Obasanjo recently suggested that power and resources should be devolved from the federal government to state and local governments in Nigeria. He believes that this will improve resource management and alleviate economic hardship. Obasanjo made this statement at the public presentation of a book by Dr. Umar Ardo. In addition, Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state, challenged Obasanjo to write a letter to President Bola Tinubu over the state of the nation.
Obasanjo offers a solution to economic hardship and directs a message to Tinubu’s administration.
