He said that the cannabis was hidden in a luggage meant for export on an Ethiopian Airlines’ flight, while the illicit drug was discovered at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) shed.

In his words “The suspect allegedly brought a bag for export to China. During a search, 6 kg. of compressed cannabis was found inside the bag with clothing, cell phones, cell phone batteries and shoes, respectively”.

However,Ofoyeju noted that the suspect is currently undergoing investigation.

“She is currently undergoing investigation but she has a choice to be with her baby during the course of investigation” Ofoyeju said.

Ofoyeju added that the suspect claimed in her confessional statement that she was given the bag by a client to send to China.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other persons connected with the case, stressing that the suspect would soon be charged to court.
