Nollywood actress Ini Edo has addressed recent rumors surrounding her alleged engagement, sparked by a September post that had fans speculating about her upcoming wedding.
The speculation began after Ini shared a photo of herself dressed in a traditional Efik bridal outfit, with a caption referencing love and encouraging fans to continue believing in happiness. This led many to assume she was engaged and preparing for her wedding.
However, in a recent interview with *Premium Times*, the actress clarified that the post was not an engagement announcement, but rather a promotional teaser for her four-part series, *My Fairytale Wedding*.
When asked about the possibility of having her own real-life fairytale wedding, Ini Edo made it clear that marriage is no longer a priority for her.
“I’m not obsessed with marriage; what matters to me is having a solid relationship. It’s not something I’m hoping for or praying about,” she said.
It’s worth noting that Ini Edo was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008, but they divorced in 2014.
