Afrobeats megastar Davido has sparked conversations online after reacting to a throwback video of Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, detailing his financial transparency and business success before entering public office.

In the resurfaced clip, which was reshared on X by prominent journalist Rufai Oseni, Obi displayed some of his highly exclusive financial assets. He showcased his 1987 American Express Platinum Card, noting that it was initially launched for an elite group of just 5,000 individuals worldwide. He also revealed his rare Centurion Card, popularly known as the Black Card, which was introduced in 1999 for only 1,000 select members globally.
During the clip, Obi emphasized that he established a highly lucrative and legitimate business empire long before transitioning into Nigerian politics. He maintained that while he does not regret serving his country, his political career has actually depleted his personal wealth rather than increased it.

Sharing the video, Rufai Oseni threw down a challenge to other political figures across Nigeria, writing, “Can every Nigerian politician tell us how they made their money like this?”
