Prominent Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Kunle Afod, has reached out to the public to solicit urgent assistance for veteran Yoruba actor Opebe, who is currently battling a severe and undiagnosed health condition.

Afod made the emotional plea on Friday during a personal visit to Opebe’s residence in Ibadan, Oyo State. Sharing a video of his visit on his official Instagram page, the filmmaker highlighted the veteran actor’s rapidly declining health and urged well-meaning Nigerians and medical experts to intervene.
Addressing his followers, Afod expressed deep concern over the actor’s state, noting that Opebe’s physical condition has deteriorated significantly. He called on anyone with medical solutions or financial resources to come forward and support the ailing movie veteran in his time of need.
A Medical Mystery Defying Diagnosis
Speaking about his ordeal, Opebe revealed that his prolonged absence from the Nigerian movie scene was due to his failing health. Despite visiting multiple hospitals and undergoing numerous medical evaluations since last year, doctors have been unable to pinpoint the exact cause of his illness.
Opebe explained that the only definitive finding from his various tests was a critical shortage of blood, which required him to receive a transfusion of four pints of blood. However, his condition has continued to worsen, leaving his family and colleagues increasingly worried.
