The Nigeria Indigenous Shipowners(NISA) has called for the effective participation of all concerned stakeholders in the Nigeria Maritime Expo(NIMAREX) to compete favourably internationally.
This was disclosed by the Relationship Executive of NISA, Mr. Kunle Bankole at their exhibition stand during the NIMAREX Expo 2014 in Lagos.
Kunle urged that their participation will go a long way in strengthening the initiative and curb the naivety trend in the country.
In his words, ” I will encourage other maritime operators to come exhibit here because you don’t know if what you are going abroad to look for is right at your doorstep”, he advised..
He stressed that the initiative will enhance the transformation agenda of the President and will create room for more employment opportunities for Nigerian populace and the economy will be better for it.
Adding that, NIMAREX still needs to be improved on in terms of marketing, rebranding for it to be in the consciousness of individuals.
He expressed his satisfaction at the idea of NIMAREX which was birth by Nigeria Indigenous Shipowners(NISA) and today is thriving.
” The idea of NIMAREX which was birth by Nigeria Indigenous Shipowners(NISA) as a result of the various exhibition attended around the world which says that a time is come for us to showcase the maritime potentials of our good country to the world as well after the survey we did. We are glad that what was an idea has become a reality and its moving forward atleast this is the fourth edition and we hope it gets better”, He said.
