The Nigeria Police Force has publicly paraded ASP Nuhu Usman along with four other officers linked to the death of 28-year-old Mine Ogiidi.
According to reports, the victim had gone to a park to collect a parcel sent to him by an unidentified individual. He was subsequently arrested after it was discovered that the package contained a firearm. During interrogation, Usman allegedly discharged his weapon, resulting in the suspect’s death.
After investigations, the police confirmed that all five officers involved have been dismissed from service. They are expected to be arraigned on charges of murder.
Authorities also disclosed that efforts are ongoing to locate a driver who transported the parcel from Yenagoa to Delta State, where it was delivered to the deceased.
