Neymar was reportedly involved in a training ground altercation with his 18-year-old teammate Robinho Jr at Santos FC.
According to reports from Brazilian outlet Globo, the incident occurred after Neymar felt disrespected when the teenager dribbled past him during a session.
It was gathered that Neymar asked Robinho Jr to “take it easy,” which led to an argument and physical confrontation between the two players.
The situation escalated as both players reportedly pushed each other, with Neymar allegedly slapping and tripping the youngster before they were separated and removed from training.
Both players had been part of a reserve training session after being excluded from Santos’ squad for their match against Palmeiras, ahead of a Copa Sudamericana fixture against Recoleta.
Reports also indicated that Robinho Jr’s representatives raised concerns with the club’s president following the incident.
However, the matter was later resolved after Neymar apologised to his teammate, acknowledging his actions.
