Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says the new emir of Kano would be announced Sunday.
The governor made this known after Kano kingmakers paid him a visit and reportedly submitted the names of three shortlisted candidates.
The three kingmakers are Madakin Kano, Sarkin Bai, Sarkin Dawakin Mai’tuta, and Makaman Kano.
Sources hinted that former CBN governor Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi made the final three, but we could not independently confirm this as at the time of filing this report.
