Justice Lateefat Ohunnu, the presiding judge in her ruling said the applications were dismissed  for being an abuse of court processes, as the prayers being sought for had been previously determined by the Supreme Court in other matters.

Abdullahi’s  had asked the court to vacate its October 21 ruling, he also asked for a stay of proceeding on the  trial, pending the determination of Alao’s appeal against the ruling at the Court of Appeal, Lagos.

His last prayer was that his case be referred to the Court of Appeal.

Abdullahi Alao alongside two other oil marketers, Opeyemi Ajuyah and Olarenwaju Olalusi, and their companies – Majope Investment Ltd. and Axenergy Ltd are facing an eight-count charge of conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretences, forgery, uttering and use of false documents filed against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC).
