Arsenal goalkeeper Khari Ranson has shared that his father is Nigerian and his mother is Ghanaian, making him eligible to play internationally for either the Super Eagles or the Black Stars.
The 17-year-old, who is currently an England youth international, spoke about his heritage and the lighthearted rivalry in his family.
“My mum is from Ghana and my dad is from Nigeria, which leads to a lot of friendly debate about which jollof rice is better!” Ranson recently told Arsenal’s official website.
“Personally I side with Nigerian jollof. I have two younger siblings: a brother and a sister,” he added.
