Renowned Nigerian singer Odumodublvck has sparked conversation by stating that music has not significantly impacted his life.
In a candid discussion about his relationship with his craft, Odumodublvck described music as a dependable companion but admitted he does not love it.
In a video shared on social media and referenced by NAIJALOG, the artist explained that music merely reflects the effort he invests in it, emphasizing its fairness in reciprocation.
“I don’t love music. But music and I are friends. I like you (music), and one thing I know about you is that you’re consistent. If you say you’ll deliver, you always do because you meet me at the point of my effort.
“Music doesn’t cheat anyone; whatever effort you put in is what you’ll get out. But to say I love music—no, no, no. Music hasn’t gone out of its way to do anything for me.
“It’s solely my hard work that makes music reciprocate, and I have no issues with that. So, music shouldn’t have a problem with me admitting that I don’t love it,” he explained.
