Mayowa Lambe has taken legal action against her estranged husband, Roby Ekpo, issuing a cease-and-desist letter demanding a public apology and ₦100 million in damages over alleged defamatory statements.
Through her legal representatives, Mayowa reportedly stated that there is no existing marital relationship between her and Roby, contradicting his earlier claims.
Her current husband, David Ayuba, has also spoken out in support of her decision. He shared the legal notice on social media and posted messages that appeared to address the ongoing situation.
“The path to greatness leaves no room for weakness, only strength. The ones in my corner understand me. I don’t owe explanations, and that’s enough,” he wrote.
In another post, he added: “Falsehood may travel fast, but truth arrives with consequences.”
The development follows reports of Mayowa’s recent marriage to Ayuba in the United States, which came as a surprise to many who were unaware of the timeline of her separation from Roby.
While Roby initially reacted calmly and wished her well, his tone later shifted during an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, where he made several allegations about their past relationship, including claims of infidelity, deception, and personal differences.
“Satisfying her how? I would not have s*x till I kill myself. One to two rounds are enough for me. I got married at the age of 37, I am going to be 48 this year, I am not a small boy,” he said.
He further claimed that he preferred a moderate level of intimacy, while alleging that Mayowa wanted it more frequently.
The situation continues to unfold, drawing widespread attention and reactions online.
