Controversial businesswoman Mary Gold has issued a public apology to popular content creator Ijoba Lande following the breakdown of his marriage to his wife, Dara.
Her apology comes after a viral video surfaced in which she admitted to taking Dara to the home of a senior actor’s wife, Baba Tee, where she allegedly engaged in an affair. Mary Gold also revealed that she allowed Dara and her boyfriend to receive treatment for an infection at her residence.
In a video posted on her social media pages, Mary Gold—who also manages Lande—expressed remorse for her involvement in the situation and pleaded for his forgiveness.
“I sincerely ask Lande to forgive me for taking his wife to Baba Tee’s house and for letting her and her boyfriend receive treatment for an infection in my home. I appeal to Nigerians to help me beg him,” she said.
Additionally, she apologized to Baba Tee for bringing Dara to his house without informing him but also voiced her disappointment over what she perceived as his dishonesty.
“I want to say sorry to Baba Tee for taking Lande’s wife to his home without his knowledge. However, I can’t ignore the fact that I feel unsettled because he lied about me. That said, I understand he was only trying to protect himself,” she added.
