ALEX FERGUSON wants to become a director at Manchester United when he quits management.
The Red Devils boss, 71, is determined to stay after initially saying he would step away. Fergie insisted: “There’s no getting rid of me. I will probably become a director.”
In an interview with new twentyfour7 Football magazine Ferguson was quizzed about his retirement day and said: “Nobody knows, neither do I. It won’t be a doctor that tells me to quit!”
As for his successor, he revealed: “They’ll ask me. But I think it’ll be a club decision not mine.”
