Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has expressed concern for manager Erik ten Hag as the Red Devils prepare to face Liverpool in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Neville advised Ten Hag to make changes to his lineup for the match against Liverpool, suggesting that summer signing Joshua Zirkzee should be given a start.
When asked by Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher if he would settle for a point on Sunday, Neville responded, “No, I wouldn’t.”
He added, “I think Erik ten Hag has a knack for finding the right result at the right time. I’m a little worried for him on Sunday if Manchester United were to lose badly. But I don’t expect that; I don’t see a big defeat for United by any means. In fact, I’m not overly confident, but United have a way of showing up in key moments under Erik ten Hag and getting the results when he needs them.”
“He certainly needs one after the loss to Brighton last weekend. It’s not about putting immense pressure on him, but he is under some level of scrutiny this season.”
The match is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm.
