On Sunday, December 11, a Nigerian man, @sportingking365, who is well-known for his accurate predictions about Qatar 2022 World Cup matches, surprised many when he predicted that the match between Argentina and France would end in a draw after 90 minutes.
When the man made the prediction in a post, many people mocked him in the comments section, saying they had counter bets against him.
As the game began and Argentina led by two goals with no hope of France catching up, some people cited his tweet, claiming he completely missed it.
Around 71 minutes into the game, a penalty awarded to Argentina resulted in French player Mbappe scoring for his team. Shortly after the first goal, the same player scored again, resulting in a tie at full time.
Many Nigerians who bravely accepted the man’s bet shared screenshots of their winnings in the millions of naira. People claimed the man possessed supernatural abilities.
