A bus promoting the reelection bid of President Goodluck Jonathan may be running the rounds in London, United Kingdom, the Cable reports.
However, the promoters of the initiative remain unknown and the veracity of the advert itself is now under scrutiny.
Transport for London which oversees the activities of public transport in London claims no one placed such advert on any of its buses.
Mr David Edwards who responded to an email seeking to ascertain the truthfulness of the claim, wrote:
“We have checked with our advertising partner and have confirmed that this isn’t an advert that has been displayed on any of our buses. It appears the photograph may have been edited to include this.”
Adverts of this type “are so large, they are fitted in sections and the joins would be clearly visible, whereas in this picture they are not,” he further added.
An unnamed concern group allegedly sent the photograph to the online news medium.
