Laycon, winner of the 2020 Big Brother Naija, has opened up about his journey and the impact of his victory on his personal life.
During a conversation on the “Echoo Room” podcast hosted by Teddy A, the reality star shared how winning the show played a crucial role in his mother’s survival.
He explained that his mother was seriously ill while he was in the Big Brother house, and her condition worsened significantly by the time he came out, making his win even more significant.
“When I was in the house, my mom was ill. By the time I came out, my mom was close to death. I’m saying it categorically now, if I did not win that show, if I had come out second, my mom would be dead now.”
Laycon also reflected on life after the show, noting that despite having no prior experience, he began receiving offers from film producers. He added that while many people had opinions about his career path ranging from music to scriptwriting his success has largely been fueled by the strong support and passion of his fans.
