Clifford Osagie Osawaru has written a petition to the police after unkonwn persons believed to be land speculators in Ukhunmwun village purportedly pasted fake obituary posters of the 65-year-old man.
Though not dead Clifford who is at the forefront of vocal campaign to stop the illegal sale of land in his community said this unkown person webt ahead to print and circulate in Ukhunmwun village posters announcing his death.
While reacting to the act, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Stephen Onwuchei, described the act as a threat to life and punishable by law.
Clifford’s lawyer says the person who are his client think are the masterminds of this act are on the run.
