Spain international Lamine Yamal believes the upcoming UEFA Nations League final against Portugal will be just as intense as their semi-final clash with France.
Spain advanced to the final after edging out France 5-4 in a thrilling encounter at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart on Thursday night. Yamal was instrumental in the victory, scoring twice to help his team progress.
Portugal had earlier secured their place in the final with a 2-1 win over Germany on Wednesday.
Speaking to RTVE after the match, Yamal said:
“France is a great team, they make you suffer, it’s normal. They have players who make you suffer until the end. But we are very happy with the victory.”
Looking ahead to the final on Sunday, the Barcelona star added:
“It will be the same as this match [Spain vs France], with players of great world class. We are very good teams and I hope to take the Cup to Spain.”
