Laide Bakare has revealed plans to walk down the aisle again, marking what would be her third marriage.
Speaking in a recent interview with Akin Abolade, the Nollywood actress and producer said this upcoming union would be the first time she considers herself to be getting married “officially,” despite having been married twice before.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said.
She added that preparations for the wedding are already in progress but did not disclose the date or the identity of her fiancé.
Bakare was previously married to U.S.-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she has a daughter, Simi. Following their separation, she remarried Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and they had two sons together.
Her second marriage eventually ended after Orilowo was reportedly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2014 over alleged fraud-related issues.
In an earlier appearance on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, the actress mentioned that she is open to marrying up to five times if previous relationships do not work out.
