The death of the earlier lucky survivor  has brought the number of fatalities arising from the crash to 14.

Meanwhile, another survivor  is now said to be in a critical state.

According to our source, “The autopsies we conducted on Saturday were 14.  Initially the victims that died in the crash were 13, but another one, I think Hassan by name, was brought in, making it 14 autopsies we completed on Saturday.”

Of the survivor now in critical condition, a pathologist said:

“I think he is an ADC to Agagu’s son. He has head injury and we can only pray he survives it but we are trying our best for him.”

Hospital authorities told our correspondent that they have taken DNA swabs from relatives of those that were burned beyond recognition and will send the samples for analysis abroad in order to help their families identify and claim the bodies.

Earlier today, officials of the AIB disclosed that the report on the analysis of the black box which was recovered from the plane will be available next year.

A similarly-awaited report, on the black box of Dana 0992 crash of June 2012, is yet to be released.
