A young lady has been raped, murdered and her body dumped by unknown person in a community in Imo State.
It was a scene of confusion, fear and apprehension as the naked body of a young lady who was apparently raped and murdered, was discovered in the Umunneato community in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo State.
Her corpse was said to have been found lying lifeless on a road path in the community in the early hours of Sunday, February 15, 2015, a day after Valentine’s Day.
According to an eyewitness , the corpse of the unidentified lady had several bruises especially around the breasts and private part region.
An eyewitness, who spoke on grounds of anonymity, noted that a close look at the lady’s corpse revealed bruises, especially around the breasts and private parts, lending credence to the fact that she must have put up some struggle before her demise.
The witness also ruled out ritual killing as no part of the corpse was missing.
“I am not too sure that it was a case of ritual killing because no part of the girl, on the face value, was missing.
It is, to me, a case of brutal gang-raping to death of the unfortunate girl.”
The traditional ruler of the community, Eze Leo Nwokocha, also expressed concern at the dastardly act, saying that the identity of the dead lady was still unknown.
