Former Kano State governor and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has offered a strong endorsement of his party’s presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi. Speaking on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ program on Monday, Kwankwaso characterized Obi as a profoundly dependable leader deeply committed to Nigeria’s advancement.
Kwankwaso revealed that his understanding and confidence in Obi have significantly deepened since the conclusion of the 2023 general elections. This evolved perspective, he explained, has solidified his belief in Obi’s leadership capabilities and his vision for the nation’s future.
“I believe I know much more than I knew before the 2023 elections,” Kwankwaso stated during the interview. “Now I know that Peter is a very serious politician. He has this country in mind. He is somebody that one can rely on and so on and so forth.” His remarks underline a strengthened political alliance and a shared focus on national development as the 2027 electoral cycle approaches.
