The appointment of over 170 workers of the Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency (KASTELEA), employed in February 2015 have been terminated.
It was gathered that the affected workers were offered temporary appointment early this year to work with the agency.
One of the affected workers, Bulus Musa Kura said the sack came as a shock to most of them as they were just settling down for the work.
“We came this morning (yesterday) and to our greatest surprise, the management of KASTELEA terminated our appointment; saying they no longer requires our services. Though, it was indicated on our appointment letters that it is a temporary appointment but every process that leads to our engagement has been followed and KASTALEA has been enacted by law in 2014 ,” he said.
