The 2023 Appropriations Bill has arrived at the National Assembly thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari. The Senate reconvened at 9 a.m. to approve the votes and actions from Thursday, October 7. They then had a brief recess and joined their counterparts in the House of Representatives to await the arrival of Buhari and his entourage. According to The Nation
Buhari greeted Speaker Gbajabiamila and Senate President Ahmad Lawan before the National Anthem was played to signal the start of the budget presentation’s proceedings. The Senate will consider the 2023 appropriations bill as soon as possible, according to Senate President Ahmed Lawan. Lawan promised that, as in years past, the budget will be taken into consideration and approved before the year was up.
