The online appearance of the burial arrangement banner for Junior Pope, a deceased Nigerian actor, has been generating a lot of views. Junior Pope, whose real name is Mr Odonwodo, along with four other crew members, tragically lost their lives when their boat capsized in Anam River in Anambra State on April 10th, while returning from a movie shoot. Out of the 12 individuals who were on the boat at the time of the accident, seven were rescued alive while five died, including Mr Odonwodo.
The burial arrangements for Mr Odonwodo began on April 23rd with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish, Asaba, Delta State, as announced by his family via his burial poster. The family, represented by Divine Odonwodo, also announced that another requiem mass would be held at Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A, Enugu on May 13th. An evening of tributes and candle light will follow at Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu on May 14th from 5 p.m.
On May 16th, there will be a wake at his country home in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, which is a community in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state. Finally, the Nollywood actor will be laid to rest on May 17th at his country home after a burial mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe. His interment will follow immediately after the burial.
