Jorginho has officially parted ways with Arsenal after his contract expired, making him a free agent.
The North London club announced on Friday that both parties had mutually agreed to terminate his deal with immediate effect.
A statement on Arsenal’s website read: “We can confirm that we’ve reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect to become a free agent.”
The Italian midfielder, who joined the Gunners from Chelsea in 2023, featured in 78 matches across all competitions under manager Mikel Arteta.
Prior to his time at Arsenal, Jorginho played for clubs including Napoli, Hellas Verona, and Chelsea.
He is now expected to sign a three-year contract with Brazilian giants Flamengo during the summer transfer window.
