Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah is reportedly on track to join Barcelona at the end of the season.
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared that Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, traveled to Germany on Thursday to meet with Tah’s agent, Pini Zahavi, and discuss the potential move.
Barcelona has made an offer for Tah to join them as a free agent in June 2025, outpacing competition from Bayern Munich.
Romano tweeted:
“Barça have made their initial proposal to Jonathan Tah for June 2025 as a free agent; talks advanced — ahead of Bayern,” Romano tweeted on Friday.
“There are details to fix, but positive meeting took place between Deco and Pini Zahavi, same agent as Flick.
“Tah was also there, as @JijantesFC revealed.”
The deal appears to be moving forward with optimism from both sides.
