The Special Adviser on Media to President Goodluck Jonathan has announced the appointment of Mrs. Roli Bode-George as the new Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Ruben Abati made the announcement this evening on behalf of the president via his twitter handle.
Roli is the wife to Bode George who once served as chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority, but was arrested and jailed for fraud and abuse of office.
However, his conviction was later upturned by the Supreme Court.
Mrs Bode-George takes over from Mr Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). The appointment is with immediate effect.
