Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, has stated that it is offensive for anyone to claim he isn’t on par with Afrobeats icons Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, collectively referred to as the “Big 3.”
Responding to criticism over his recent tweet announcing a “Big 4,” Rema underscored his prominence in the music industry.
The 22-year-old artist addressed the controversy in his latest track, “Hehehe,” released under Mavin Global Holdings. In the song, Rema confidently sings:
“No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People go para but what for? Dem go say I don’t deserve it but that is an insult.”
