The incident sparked a lot of debates with some faulting Omah Lay for his choice of dance partner while others blamed the girlfriend for her actions. In order to avoid repeating the same mistake, Shallipopi can be seen in a new video thoroughly questioning a lady who joined him on stage to dance. He only danced with her after she confirmed that the male fan in the crowd was not her partner.
