BBNaija Season 10 winner Imisi Ayanwale’s mother has finally addressed circulating claims that she abandoned her daughter and only resurfaced after Imisi gained fame and wealth.

The rumors, which spread shortly after Imisi’s rise to stardom, alleged that her mother had been absent throughout her journey.

In a now-viral video, Imisi’s mother expressed deep gratitude to God and Nigerians who showed her kindness and support. She said:

“I’ve received mercy from God. Thank you so much to all Nigerians. I’m staying with my younger sister in Ajah. Even though some people didn’t want me around, others welcomed me, clothed me, and fed me. I’ve been happy and at peace.”

Responding to accusations that she neglected her daughter, she insisted that her silence was intentional and born out of wisdom, not guilt or irresponsibility. She stressed that keeping calm was a conscious choice, not a sign of weakness.

She also recounted how she learned about Imisi’s eviction from the house, explaining that the information came very late.

“I wasn’t told until around 4 p.m. to dress up because Imisi would be leaving the house that day,” she revealed.

Ending her message, she appealed to Nigerians to show empathy and kindness.

“Let’s stop tearing each other down. Let love lead instead of hate.”

Her statement has sparked renewed conversations online, with some viewers showing support while others continue to scrutinize her past actions.
