Veteran Yoruba actor Ibrahim Chatta is trending after reports revealed he now earns an impressive ₦5 million per day, placing him among the highest-paid stars in Nollywood.
The claim was made by fellow veteran actor Mustapha Bakare Otolo, widely known as Baba Oloto, during a recent interview. According to him, Chatta’s exceptional acting skills, professionalism, and work ethic have pushed him to the top of the earnings ladder in the Nigerian movie industry.
Baba Oloto explained that while many seasoned actors still earn around ₦250,000 per scene, Chatta’s fan base and consistent performance have driven his value far higher.
Online reactions poured in immediately, with many Nigerians applauding the actor’s success. One supporter commented, “He deserves every kobo, Chatta never disappoints.”
Another joked, “₦5 million per role? Nollywood don turn oil field!”
However, some fans questioned whether Nollywood producers can keep up with such high wages, considering the rising cost of movie production in Nigeria.
Still, one thing is evident Ibrahim Chatta has earned his spot among the industry’s top earners, and his success has now set a new standard for what Nollywood actors can achieve.
