Afrobeats star Davido has addressed and dismissed reports claiming he was arrested after a show in Kenya. The “Unavailable” singer took to his Instagram story to shut down the false arrest reports that had circulated online on April 1st.
Davido assured his fans that the reports were completely untrue, stating that he successfully completed his scheduled shows in Uganda and Kenya before returning home to Nigeria afterwards. The singer firmly stated that he has never been arrested by authorities in any country, whether Nigeria, America, or the hundreds of countries he has visited throughout his career.
Davido declared the fabrication of allegations about him committing international crimes to be extremely irresponsible, regardless of it being April Fool’s Day when the false reports emerged. He mentioned that his lawyer is currently seeking legal recourse against the media outlets responsible for generating and spreading this misinformation about him.
Davido posted on his Instagram to categorically deny the untrue arrest reports and make it clear he has never had any such legal issues in any nation during his musical career.
