Thugs stormed the Ranches Bees Stadium in Kaduna on Monday, October 17, where Atiku Abubakar was holding a campaign rally. The hoodlums were said to have stolen phones from PDP supporters and thrown stones at other people. Disappointed, Atiku called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that this does not happen again as the 2023 elections approach.

Unidentified thugs attacked Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, during his campaign rally in Kaduna on Monday, October 17. While covering the rally, Daily Trust learned that some thugs who invaded the exercise’s venue, Ranches Bees Stadium, caused quite a commotion.
Aside from the fact that the phones of those present went missing, the newspaper reported that miscreants pelted stones at PDP supporters indiscriminately, leaving the area in chaos.

I urge President Muhammadu Buhari to call on all parties to call their supporters and members to order and to ensure that campaigns, just as with the elections themselves, are kept free, fair and safe. -AA
