Renowned Nigerian artist Daniel ‘BNXN’ Benson describes how he briefly put his music career on hold when he was accepted into college, only to be reinspired by Burna Boy.
The ‘Gbagwalada’ musician revealed this on an episode of Kim Oprah’s Hip TV show, “Trending,” which was hosted by the reality star.
According to BNXN, he only started writing music again after getting inspired by Burna Boy and British rapper J Hus.
He continued by describing how important it was for him to be signed by Burna Boy on the same day that they first met.
His words are;
When I got into the university, I dropped everything that had to do with music.
“What inspired me to go back to doing music was that I started listening to Burna Boy and J Hus. I started listening to real music. And I was like, I think I can do this.”
