The Super Eagles now have a chance to feature at the African Natios cups in Equatorial Guinea, after beating Congo 2-0 in front of their home crowd in Point Noire.
The second half of the match was a tempestuous one as the home crowd threw objects at the eagles.
The referee had to halt the game for some minutes.
Nigeria’s first goal was scored via a penalty take by IK Uche, the home team moments later were awarded a penalty, which was saved by Nigeria’s goalie, Vincent Enyeama.
Nigeria’s last goal was scored just as the match was about end by Aaron Samuel.
