A security officer with the Imo Security Network, yesterday mistakenly shot dead his colleague, Chidi Onyenekwu from Oru East LGA, during one of their operations.
According to Facebook user, Ugonna Chiji Achuko, while on a security operation, the officer shot into the air and forgot to return the trigger. A slight movement saw other bullets being shot from his pop action rifle. The deceased was hit on the right chest by one of the bullets. See a photo of the deceased below:
