Head of the Efficiency Unit, Patience Oniha disclosed that the federal government has saved about N15 billion in about a year from over bloated travel costs and allowances of government workers.

Oniha made this disclosure at the sidelines of the Cost Management on Overhead Expenditure for Permanent Secretaries, Chief Executive Officers of Departments and Agencies, in Abuja.

She noted that the amount was saved through activities of the Efficiency Unit under the Federal Ministry of Finance.
