For the first time in decades, and underlining the tremendous success that year 2013 was for Nigeria football, several Nigerian players and teams are in line for honours on the night.

Nigeria’s National Team, winner of the 29th Africa Cup of Nations and first African team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014, is nominated for National Team of the Year, while the U-17 Team, record fourth winners of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, is nominated for Youth National Team of the Year.
