Actress/Director Omoni Oboli says there’s no ongoing fight with her colleague, Genevieve Nnaji.
She said during a recent interview with iCampus Magazine that the supposed ‘beef’ is a figment of the public’s imagination and may have been kickstarted by a comment made by Lonzo Anekwe, director of Anchor Baby, who said that she was a better actress than Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde,
‘I acted [in] a movie, Anchor Baby, the director (Lonzo Nzekwe) of the movie granted an interview and said ‘Omoni Oboli is the best actress in Nigeria.’ Some bloggers latched onto it and said Omoni Oboli is better than Genevieve and Omotola. The next thing was that people started writing about a supposed beef with her’ she said.
She added that although they’re not friends, they aren’t enemies either, ‘We are not enemies, neither are we friends. We are colleagues, a senior one at that, we greet each other when we see; it is not like we visit each other at home.’
