Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen continues to dominate the continental transfer landscape, with reports emerging that an unnamed European powerhouse is prepared to table a staggering €120 million bid for the striker. However, Turkish champions Galatasaray are firmly holding their ground, insisting their star forward is not for sale.
European Giant Ready to Test Galatasaray’s Resolve
According to prominent Turkish football transfer specialist Burhan Can Terzi, a major European club has initiated contact with Galatasaray, signaling their readiness to meet a €120 million valuation. Despite the lucrative figure, the hierarchy of the Istanbul-based club has reportedly declined to open formal negotiations, reiterating their desire to keep the Nigerian international in Turkey.
“A European club has informed Galatasaray officials that they are willing to pay a transfer fee of €120m for Osimhen,” Terzi stated. “Galatasaray management did not provide a favorable response. Should Galatasaray approve negotiations, a formal offer will be submitted.”
Galatasaray Set Steep €150 Million Price Tag
Adding weight to the club’s uncompromising stance, Turkish pundit Nevzat Dindar revealed details of a direct conversation with Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek. Dindar confirmed that the club is determined to retain their talismanic striker unless an astronomical offer is received.
“I spoke with the president in Kemerburgaz. He absolutely does not intend to sell Osimhen,” Dindar told Milliyet. “There are offers worth €120m through intermediaries, but they are not concrete. The priority is for Osimhen to stay with the team. But if Osimhen wants to leave, Galatasaray will not accept an offer below €150m. Osimhen also has no intention of leaving.”
An Incredible Campaign Sparks Continental Interest
The intense speculation surrounding the 27-year-old comes on the heels of a spectacular season in Turkey. Since making his move permanent, Osimhen has been in sensational form, netting 22 goals and contributing eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His prolific output was instrumental in helping the Yellow-Reds successfully defend their Turkish Super Lig crown.
Such world-class performances have naturally alerted elite clubs across Europe. Osimhen is reportedly high on the shortlist of several footballing giants, including:
- Paris Saint-Germain, who are constantly in search of elite attacking talent.
- Chelsea and Manchester United, both of whom are keen to bolster their frontlines.
- Atletico Madrid, who view the Nigerian as a premier replacement should Argentine forward Julian Alvarez secure a move to Barcelona.
While Galatasaray’s €150 million price tag is expected to test the financial limits of almost any suitor, the battle for Osimhen’s signature looks set to remain one of the defining narratives of the summer transfer window.
