As part of celebrations marking the World Food Day(WFD), Food Clique Support (FCS) took to the streets of Makoko community, an impoverished suburb in Lagos with various food items and other perishables to support the needy.
Speaking at the event, President of FSC, Mr. Bolajoko Fadipe, explained that his organization seeks to eradicate hunger and sensitize better placed individuals in the society on how the social menace can be addressed.
He stressed that as non- profit charity organization FSC fights hunger by donating perishable and non-perishable food to hungry kids, pensioners, destitute, disabled, homeless, working poor and low income families in the nation regularly.
In his words “Once in a while we have all experienced hunger, which might be temporary or caused because of loss of choice of food, but do you know that almost a billion people suffer from it daily, go to sleep without food and have to live through it the next day”.
Lamenting further he said, “Despite affecting over a billion people in the world it (hunger) still does not make headlines compare to other issues and I think the reason is that our government, world leaders have not made the fight against hunger a priority.
Just like drug abuse, hunger is a social problem, so most victims suffer and sometimes die in silence because people don’t care about them”.
He appealed to the government and other private bodies to support the initiative works in its bid to wage outright war against hunger.
Meanwhile, the members of Makoko community who came out in large numbers to benefit from the largess were full of appreciation and urged people to support Food Clique.

You’ve done well FSC, the sky is your beginning and you’ll continue to grow in support Physical, Morally and Spiritually. Thank you
