Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly known as Fireboy DML, has shared insights into his personal life, admitting that his dating experiences have been “chaotic.”
In a recent appearance on the Reprezent Podcast, the artist explained that his song “Ashawo” was inspired by the disorganized and unpredictable nature of the Lagos dating scene.
“In my song ‘Ashawo’ I was trying to paint a picture of what the dating scene is like in Lagos, where I live. It’s a mess,” he said.
Speaking further about his own experiences, Fireboy added, “It is chaotic. But I thrive with girls. When I’m under pressure, I usually find balance in girls.”
The singer has previously mentioned that he wouldn’t mind experiencing heartbreak if it would help him create more authentic music.
So far, Fireboy DML has not publicly confirmed being in a relationship.
