Following Atiku Abubakar’s defeat, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose announced his resignation from the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to THISDAY, Fayose announced his resignation from the PDP on March 1st while appearing as a guest on an ARISE News program.

Fayose stated that his decision to leave the party appears to be related to perceived irreconcilable differences within the PDP, which he claims has fractured the party.
