The Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, has urged the Federal Government to recover the missing $20bn and use the money to provide 20,000 megawatts of electricity.
Fashola disclosed this during the inauguration of Addo – Kekere, Lagbasa and Ajah Badore roads in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
“If the Federal Government finds the missing $20bn, we will have constant power supply. I know that if we have $1bn, we will have 1,000 megawatts of electricity in the country. So $20bn is equivalent to 20,000 megawatts.”
However, the governor expressed shock on the delay of the Federal Government in recovering the missing money which to him can solve the problem of electricity permanently in the country.
