The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, October 1, 2014, as public holiday to mark the nation’s 54th Independence Anniversary.

The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, who announced this on Wednesday in Abuja, congratulated all Nigerians and urged them to build a more united and virile nation that could be the pride of all citizens wherever they live.
